SATURDAY STROLL

The Eureka Springs Gallery Association’s Second Saturday Gallery Stroll will feature special pricing on selected works and artists’ receptions on Saturday.

Visitors may meet portrait artist Julie Kahn Valentine at Eureka Fine Art Company; artist Carol Peacock at Iris at the Basin Park; and pottery artists Jim Wallace, Laura Waters, Kent Starbird and Mark Rademacher at Eureka Thyme. Zarks Fine Art Gallery is hosting its annual Art Glass event, and 83 Spring Street Gallery is offering discounts on its Mark Hopkins bronze sculptures, John Bundy decoys and Betsy Stafford jewelry.

The seven association galleries represent more than 107 local and regional artists.

HOLIDAY MARKET

The Walton Arts Center in Fayetteville will host a Holiday Market through Wednesday in the McBride Studio. Vendors will be selling jewelry, soaps, pottery, Christmas decor, paintings and other gifts for one hour before and after each performance and during intermission.

HOLIDAY SHOPPING

The Wishing Spring Gallery in Bella Vista has added hours to accommodate holiday shoppers and will be open from noon until 4 p.m. Sunday and Dec. 20, in addition to its usual hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. The gallery offers handmade arts, crafts and gifts, and is sponsored by the nonprofi t Village Art Club. The gallery will close for the year on Dec. 23.

EUREKA THYME at 19 Spring St. in Eureka Springs (363-9600): Pottery by Mark Rademacher, Ken Starbird, Jim Wallace and Laura Waters of Paradise Pottery, and pieces from Arts in Mud; artists’ reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

HEARTWOOD GALLERY at 428 S. Government Ave. in Fayetteville (444-0888): Annual Christmas Party & Open House, from 5 to 9 p.m. today; there will be food, drinks and music by 3 Penny Acre.

IRIS AT THE BASIN PARK at 8 Spring St. in Eureka Springs (253-9494): Works by Carol Peacock, on sale through December; meet the artist from 1 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday.

JOHN BROWN UNIVERSITY ART GALLERY at 2000 W. University St. in Siloam Springs (238-8561): “Watercolors from the Permanent Collection of the Arkansas Arts Center,” through Sunday.

POOR RICHARD’S ART at 116 S. First St. in Rogers (636-0417): The artists’ collective will be hosting a Winterfest Holiday Open House from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

UNCLE SAM’S SAFARI OUTFITTERS

at 1494 N. College Ave. in Fayetteville (442-0990): A photographic display covering the area from the Buffalo River to the Ouachitas, through Sunday artist’s reception at 6 p.m. today. For a $5 donation to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank, patrons can receive a small print.

UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS FINE ARTS CENTER GALLERY in the Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences in Fayetteville (575-7987): “Sticks, Stones & Bones: Images from Transient Landscapes,” photographs by A.E. Fournet, through Dec. 18.
