In Seattle When Shootings Happened

Over Thanksgiving weekend, I was in Washington state visiting my parents. On the morning of Nov. 29, while packing to go home to Bentonville, I was watching the local news when the story broke: Four cops had been shot and killed in a Tacoma-area coffee shop, less than an hour south of my parents’ house.
