Houston Pruitt outmuscled Fort Smith Southside’s receiver for an interception on Saturday night to end the Rebels’ final drive and put the finishing touches on Springdale Har-Ber’s 27-6 win for the Class 7A state championship.
The interception was a fi tting end to a spectacular season for Pruitt.
So respected this year by the 7A-West coaches, he earned a rare distinction by being named the conference’s Outstanding Back as a defensive back.
