The four selections were on the SEC's second-team list.
Mallett was joined by sophomore receiver Joe Adams, senior offensive lineman Mitch Petrus and senior defensive tackle Malcolm Sheppard on the AP's list.
Mallett leads the SEC in several categories, including passing yards (3,422) and passing efficiency (157.8). The redshirt sophomore averaged 295.2 yards passing per game for the Razorbacks and set or matched 12 school records in his first year as Arkansas' starter under center.
Alabama claimed the top three individual awards on the list. Running back Mark Ingram was named the offensive player of the year, followed by linebacker Rolando McClain as the defensive player of the year. Coach Nick Saban was picked as the coach of the year by members of the media for the second year in a row.
