Alabama vs. Texas: A big-boy battle

BCS sets up kids’ tables for other undefeateds

Texas kicker Hunter Lawrence booted the Longhorns into the Bowl Championship Series title game when he kicked a game-winning field goal against Nebraska in the Big 12 Championship Game on Saturday. The Longhorns will face Alabama on Jan. 7 in Pasadena, Calif.

Alabama and Texas get to play in a national title game. For TCU, Cincinnati and Boise State, the math doesn’t quite add up but they still get a spot in a BCS bowl.
