Rogers High’s two 6-foot-5 big men got the job done Friday night in the semifinals of the 45th annual Republic Invitational.

Sophomore Josh Anderson scored 13 points and had five rebounds and Tanner Kaza had a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds as the Mounties defeated Republic, Mo. 46-35.

The victory puts Rogers into today’s final where the Mounties will face Nixa, Mo., at 3 p.m. Nixa defeated Rogersville, Mo., 62-34 in the other semifinal.

“To come in here and win on their floor, this is what you want to take back and learn from,” said Mounties coach Marty Barnes.
