I, too, live in the Houston area and do not subscribe to the Chronicle. Also, I think it is ridiculous that I can no longer go online to check obits in Northwest Arkansas, my hometown. This may hurt the florists in the area.

I am from Springdale, I now live in north Mississippi and it's crazy that you can't view ANYTHING without having to subscribe. It hurts that I can no longer see news of the area or obituaries to send flowers or condolences to loved ones and friends! This only hurts the economy of the are and helps the newspaper make more money... Hope it's worth it.
