Williamson Supports Pelphrey

FORMER HOG SAYS PROGRAM JUST EXPERIENCING ROUGH PATCH

James Pool, center, gets an autograph from former Arkansas basketball player Corliss Wiliamson for himself and his cousin Wednesday after the Northwest Arkansas Tip-Off Club luncheon at the Springdale Holiday Inn. Williamson was the keynote speaker at the luncheon and stayed after to sign autographs for fans. The Club also gave away $10,000 to local schools basketball programs.

Corliss Williamson spent nearly an hour Wednesday afternoon sharing stories from his playing days.

Pelphrey does not have control of his basketball program. I am a firm believer in giving coaches there four years before you pull the plug. With the other guys out, the bench is getting some very good experience. By the end of the season we should be gaining some momentum heading into next season. But if we are not Pelphrey needs to go.
