City Installs Its Longest Trail Bridge

140-FOOT STEEL STRUCTURE PART OF EXTENSION TO LAKE FAYETTEVILLE TRAIL

Workers maneuver a 30-ton section into place Wednesday while installing a 140-foot pedestrian bridge over Clear Creek on the Lake Fayetteville Trail under construction. This will be the longest pedestrian bridge on the Faytteville trail system.

After several hours and several downed trees, two cranes Wednesday lowered a 60-ton trail bridge into place across Clear Creek on the Fayetteville-Springdale city limits.
