Magazine Coach Josh Jones tried to look on the bright side after sophomore quarterback Ryan Chambers sustained a broken collarbone during the Rattlers’ 45-22 victory over Des Arc in the Class 2A quarterfinals Friday night.

“It’s horrible, one of those devastating injuries, but the good thing is he’ll recover completely,” Jones said. “In 4-6 weeks, he’ll be just fine.”

Chambers, a sophomore, took over the game on both sides of the ball before going down with 4:22 left in the third quarter. He threw two touchdown passes, ran for 86 yards and intercepted three passes, returning one 95 yards for a touchdown.
