GREENWOOD CONVERTS FREE THROWS TO DEFEAT BENTONVILLE

The Greenwood Bulldogs held Bentonville without a field goal in the final 3 minutes and cashed in from the free-throw line to mount a comeback and a 59-56 win in the second night of the Citizen’s Bank Classic in Clair Bates Arena on Tuesday night.
Greenwood (2-1) knocked down 10-of-13 free throws in the final quarter to complete the rally.
“Making free throws in the fourth quarter is the way to win ball games.,” Greenwood coach Brian Martin said. “We’re still learning how to win ball games, and this was a step forward.”
Tyler Sanderlin hit two free throws and added a jumper from 15 feet, and Will Worthey converted a steal into a layup as Bentonville (0-2 ...
