Donors choose old-fashioned kettles over card machines

Tradition dies hard when it comes to donating to the Salvation Army’s red kettles during Christmastime in Arkansas. Early tests in two cities indicate Arkansans prefer the low-tech method of dropping coins and folding bills into the metal donation kettles rather than swiping a credit or debit card on an electronic payment machine.
