Architects are artists, too, and deserving of history's ear

We spent years during afternoon strolls and morning drives along Fayetteville's Maple Street Bridge wondering where the colorful rainbow coating its aging arch came from. It has been hidden beneath a slap of "battleship gray" paint for about three years, but we'd bet a lot of local residents spent years pondering the same thing. Now we know.
