Rogers man suspected in numerous bank robberies

Police say a Rogers man who's charged with robbing two Rogers banks is also a suspect in eight other bank robberies.
Prosecutors have charged 31-year-old Anthony Timothy Barnes with two counts of aggravated robbery.
During a court hearing Thursday on Barnes' bond a police lieutenant said Barnes is a suspect in another bank robbery in Rogers and seven others in Washington County.
Barnes' attorney had asked that bond be reduced from $200,000 to $50,000 while prosecutors wanted the bond raised to $300,000. Circuit Judge David Clinger left bond at $200,000 and Barnes remains in the Benton County Jail.
Barnes was arrested July 3 after a GPS unit placed in a bank bag during a robbery led police to his home.
