Arkansas Football: Looking for a quick fix

Smith hired to kick-start Arkansas special teams

Arkansas assistant coach John L. Smith (left) was hired in the off-season to coordinate the Razorbacks' special teams, which were woeful at times last season. The 2008 season opener set the tone when the Razorbacks lost fumble on the opening kickoff.

There are no comprehensive statistics ranking the overall performance of special teams in the NCAA's database.
