Recreation center, park moving forward

The Bentonville City Council voted to move forward with a $5 million purchase agreement for property necessary to construct a recreation center and park and to facilitate the realignment of Southwes

Bentonville Mayor Bob McCaslin got the goahead to enter into a purchase agreement with Clayton and Sheila Eversol for property to facilitate a community recreation center and additional park space and the realignment of Southwest I Street with Arkansas Highway 112. The Eversol property, at the southwest corner of Arkansas highways 12 and 112, covers 99.96 acres, of which the city intends to buy a significant chunk for $5,015,366.
