Proposal to phase out desegregation money fair, says 1 panel chief

During a meeting Tuesday with Arkansas Attorney General Dustin McDaniel, state Sen. Tracy Steele (left) and state Sen. Mary Anne Salmon, both of North Little Rock, expressed weariness over complaints about desegregation payments to the school districts in Pulaski County.

A co-chairman of a task force on the Pulaski County desegregation lawsuit came out Tuesday in support of Attorney General Dustin McDaniel's latest proposal to phase out the state's payments to the school districts.
