President Barack Obama, who since taking office has visited and given speeches in Turkey and Cairo, Egypt, as he worked to repair U.S. relations with the Muslim world, marked the start of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan in a video message highlighting "Islam's role in advancing justice, progress, tolerance and the dignity of all human beings."
