GUEST COLUMN : The silent government

The biggest threat to our democracy isn't from the outside. What could topple our democratic way of life is secret government. When those we elect to represent us do the people's business behind closed doors - whether it be at the White House, in the halls of Congress, at the state Capitol in Little Rock or at city hall, without explanation or full disclosure - our democracy is threatened.
