Governor appoints Martin to bench

! Beebe picks someone not running for judge to replace Mashburn

Gov. Mike Beebe announced Thursday the appointment of Fayetteville attorney W. Douglas Martin as the 4th Judicial District circuit judge for Division 5. Martin, 40, a partner at the Kutak Rock law firm, fills the vacancy created by the recent resignation of Circuit Judge Michael Mashburn, who cited medical reasons for leaving early.
