Target, Home Depot post profits dip

But retailers beat Wall Street forecasts with 6.3%, 7% declines, respectively

Target Corp. and Home Depot Inc. on Tuesday posted lower profits that still topped Wall Street expectations, but economic worries are likely to keep shoppers tightfisted in the months ahead, executives predicted.
