Positioning for bypass

Leaders believe a collaborative effort, including representatives across Arkansas and Missouri, is setting the stage for the longawaited realization of the Bella Vista bypass.

Dick Trammel, with Arvest Bank and the Arkansas Highway Commission, made his way up to speak at a luncheon for NWA Emerging Leaders at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale on Tuesday.

History will be made on Thursday. For the first time, members of the Arkansas State Highway Commission and the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission will sit down in the same room. And that collaboration is a big reason northwest Arkansas ASHC representative Dick Trammell and others believe the stars have aligned to get the long-awaited Bella Vista bypass done this time around.
