Taliban threaten to attack Afghan balloting stations

U.S. Marines fire mortars on Taliban positions in the mountains after Taliban shells struck just outside the walls of their forward operating base in Now Zad on Sunday in the Helmand province of Afghanistan.
The Taliban are threatening to attack polling centers in the key southern province of Kandahar, a warning likely to have a chilling effect on potential voters in this week's presidential election.
