100 YEARS AGO Aug. 16, 1909 DARDANELLE - Private Inman of Siloam Springs dropped on the parade ground late this afternoon overcome by the excessive heat during guard mount. Because of the heat all drills were called off for the entire day with the exception of guard mount, which could not be eliminated.
