1626 report on birth of NYC to be shown

A report of the birth of New York City arrived Friday from Amsterdam. Dated Nov. 5, 1626, the handwritten document informs the Dutch Parliament of recent events in New Amsterdam as related by the crew of the ship Arms of Amsterdam, which left the New World on Sept. 23, 1626, and arrived in Amsterdam on Nov. 4.
