NATIONAL LEAGUE Wainwright wins 14th as Cards finish with 15 hits

The St. Louis Cardinals' Adam Wainwright joined the Boston Red Sox's Josh Beckett as the only 14-game winners in the majors and hit his fifth career home run in a 15-hit attack in a 9-2 victory over the San Diego Padres on Friday night.
