There is a clear and present danger brewing in this country, and it needs to be taken seriously, investigated and prosecuted when appropriate. I'm talking about attempts to nullify democracy and to incite hatred and violence.

So far, Ms Warner has regurgitated everything that has been said in the news. Ms. Warner, why don't you dig a little deeper? What type of death threats did President Bush get with his time in office? Why didn't you mention them as well? Please be a little more even handed with radical nuts from both sides of the spectrum. The "Clear and Present Danger" is a government that won't listen to the majority of its constituents. The first rule of finance is "Don't spend more than you have" Congress didn't get it with TARP or the Economic Stimulus Package or the Omnibus Budget Bill. The only way to pay for Universal Healthcare is to ration care and raise taxes. READ the Bill, I did! Take a hard look at the current Healthcare infrastructure, you do not have enough doctors and nurses to meet a universal need. Government control didn' work with gasoline prices in the 70's, Government control has not developed an efficient model in communications (Post Office) or an efficient model in elder care (Medicare). Ordinary citizens are tired of stupidity and are ready for common sense. If the current legislature doesn't catch on now, they will in 2010. A citizen's only legal recourse at this time is voting the knuckleheads out of office.
