The obituary for Jerry Wayne Cauthren, which was published Wednesday, states the solider received the Congressional Medal of Honor during his tour in Desert Storm. According to a U.S. Army Web site, ww.army. mil/medalofhonor/smith/ medal/index.html, no Medal of Honors were awarded during Desert Storm. Also, the Congressional Medal of Honor Society's Web site, www.cmohs. org, does not list Cauthren as a recipient.
