Visionary example of planning for future hits rocky ground

Alittle more than 20 months ago, a photograph was published in these pages showing those responsible for the Ruskin Heights development drinking drinks and smiling widely as ground was broken on the much-debated project. An example of "new urbanism," it was hoped that the mixeduse development along Mission Boulevard would bring all the best parts of Fayetteville's City Plan 2025 to life.
