Nascar Sprint Cup: Stewart's road to success

Slick, torrid course yields 36th victory

NASCAR Sprint Cup points leader Tony Stewart takes the checkered flag at Watkins Glen (N.Y.) International, winning the second of two road-course races this year. In holding off Marcus Ambrose, who won Saturday's Nationwide race at the track, Stewart increased his points lead over Jimmie Johnson to 260 with four races left before the 12-man Chase field is set.

When the rain held off and The Glen heated up, Tony Stewart was in his element.
