Deadline Monday to register for millage vote

Closing time on Monday will be the last chance for Fayetteville School District residents to register to vote in the Sept. 15 millage election, according to the Washington County Clerk's Office.

I personally walked to the court house today to register for this milage election, only to find out that if you're already a registered voter then it's not necessary. This is not how I interpreted this story.
I interpreted it as you needed to register for this September 15th millage election.
I am a registered voter so obviously my trip to the court house was a waste of my time.
