The College avenue improvements are looking great. Sure I've done plenty of complaining and whining because it's not exactly how I want it, but still, it looks great. And down the road a few years when the trees are established it's gonna look even better. Not to mention the benefits from having a safe, walkable stretch along College Avenue. Something I never thought I'd see.
I hope businesses realize the financial gain from a usable and attractive sidewalk system; a system that entices people to live, work and play downtown. Imagine a thousand employees, students and visitors at the VA hospital and UAMS being able to safely walk across and along College avenue at lunch to eat at Ricks', Oseguera's or Rue Orleans. Functioning, protected cross walks and sidewalks are good for your health and good for business.
