This 'business' going broke The U.S. government has become a for-profit business. I pay either willingly or unwillingly, i.e., by taxes, to be a very minor part of this business through no action of my doing. The people I help select (or don't select) become officials of the business. From what I pay, they take compensation in both salary and perks, which they set for themselves.
