Exhibit digs up dirt on early hygiene in the Ozarks

Infrequent baths, lack of disinfectants made for smelly situations

Do you take a bath every day? Wear clean clothes every day? Where do you go when you need to use the bathroom ? Simple and personal questions, no? But they are the ones asked and answered in the textual portion of the display at Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale for the exhibit titled "Squeaky Clean" on hygiene in the Ozarks. The exhibit shows the evolution of hygiene in the Ozarks from 1850 to 1950.

Lawsuit filing fees hiked to fund technology ...

Bridgette Secrist, Washington County deputy circuit clerk, hands papers to a resident after filing paperwork for a case Friday at the Washington County Courthouse in Fayetteville.
