— An Oklahoma county official has been sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined in Fort Smith for patronizing a prostitute and refusing to submit to arrest.

Sixty-year-old Sequoyah County Commissioner Mike Huff was sentenced Thursday after pleading no contest to the misdemeanor charges. He was fined a total of $350 and ordered to pay $140 in court costs.

He declined comment after the court appearance.

Huff was among six men arrested June 11 in police undercover operation at a Fort Smith motel.

He's now free on bond and was ordered to report to the Sebastian County Detention Center at 9 a.m. Sept. 3.
