Arizona skies give crews of heavily weaponed craft practice for Afghanistan

An A-10 from the Arkansas Air National Guard's 188th Fighter Wing pulls away from a tanker plane after refueling over southern Arizona.

Tech. Sgt. Adam Ward lay on his belly and watched the two A-10 Warthogs flying 1,000 feet below his KC-135 aerial refueling tanker, circling three miles above the rusty desert floor.
