— Bella Vista incidents

Among incidents reported to the Bella Vista Police Department according to records, were the following:

◊At 2:39 p.m.Thursday, a woman reported that she was working alone in a shop on Forest Hills Boulevard when a man in his late teens entered and made sexual advances toward her. She was licensed to carry a concealed weapon and after brandishing it, the man walked toward the Leisure Hills area.

◊At 8:30 p.m.Thursday, a car fire on James Lane was extinguished by the Fire Department.

◊At 9:20 a.m. Friday, a pit bull was removed from Clevelys Lane and was taken to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.

◊At 5:35 p.m. Friday, a homeowner on Knighton Drive reported that he was taking his tenants on a walk-through of a rental unit when they became physical with him. He locked himself in the home, and the tenants were in the yard.

◊On Friday, a caller reported that an older man and a younger boy took a golf cart from Talona Lane.They were chased by the neighbors, so the two suspects dumped the cart and took off in a red boat headed for the Granton Park dock.

◊At 7:08 a.m. Saturday, a one-vehicle rollover accident was reported at Arkansas Highway 279 and Ribble Circle. One person was taken to Northwest Medical Center.

◊At 7:38 p.m. Saturday, items were reported stolen from a boat at a Windsor Dock.

◊At 9:49 p.m. Saturday, a caller reported that someone tried to break into a house through the basement on Haverigg Lane.The residents ran out of the home to a neighbor's house for safety.

◊At 10:40 a.m. Sunday, an older reddish-brown dog that had possibly been hit by a car was taken to the Bella Vista Animal Shelter.

◊At 10:53 a.m. Sunday, a caller reported that a tortoise-shell cat bit a resident on Dewsbury Drive.The stray had been in the area for several days but could not be caught. It will be quarantined if trapped.

The Health Department was notified.

◊At 3:34 p.m. Sunday, a man was reported lying on the ground at the Recycling Center entrance. He was serving community service and was on his break.

◊At 4:33 p.m. Sunday, an officer reported a possible methamphetamine burn site on Selland Drive.

◊At 8:23 p.m. Sunday, the Grosvenor gravel pits had several trespassers, and a jeep was buried up to its frame.An officer made everyone leave the area.

◊At 1:24 p.m. Monday, about $700 worth of items were reported stolen from a house on Murphy Drive.

◊At 6:31 p.m. Monday, a woman reported a man was throwing rocks and breaking windows at a house on U.S.

Highway 71 about one mile south of the state line.

◊At 2:45 p.m.Tuesday, a car driven by Beth Rappel, 61, of Bella Vista on U.S. 71 south of Trafalgar hit a motorcycle ridden by Rick Vandiver of Pineville, Mo., and knocked him across the median into the northbound inside lane of U.S. 71.Vandiver, who was wearing a helmet, walked away from the accident after receiving minor injuries.
