100 YEARS AGO Aug. 6, 1909 A writ of prohibition stopping Chancellor Martineau from checking or hindering further work on the new capitol building was issued yesterday morning by the three members of the Supreme Court who for the past several days have had before them a petition for the writ from the governor and the State Capitol Commission.
