New lottery director to speak to Political Animals Club

FAYETTEVILLE The new executive director of the Arkansas lottery will be the speaker Monday at the Political Animals Club of Northwest Arkansas.
Ernie Passailaigue will address the breakfast gathering at 7 a.m. Monday at the Clarion Inn inFayetteville.
The fee for the meeting is $9, which includes breakfast from the Clarion's buffet.
The Arkansas Lotter y Commission hired Passailaigue earlier this year, and on July 1 he took on the role as the director of the state's new lottery, which was approved by voters lastNovember. In recent weeks, lottery officials have estimated the first games from the lottery could begin in September.
Reservations for the event may be made by emailing Richard Hudson at rhudson@uark.edu or by faxing a note indicating a reservation to Hudson at575-7575. Reservations may also be made by callling Qiana Wilson at 575-7964. Reser vations are due by noon Friday.
