ICE data

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement released data this year after a request through the federal Freedom of Information Act asked for "lists showing the names, charges filed and case numbers conducted by ICE and 287(g) law enforcement agencies from the Wasington County (Arkansas) Sheriff's Office, Springdale (Arkansas) Police Department, Rogers (Arkansas) Police Department and the Benton County Sheriff's Department for the years: 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011."

ICE released redacted data only from the 2011 federal fiscal year. The data showed 458 suspected illegal immigrants were either arrested by task force officers or screened at the two county jails. Of those 458 arrests, 213 people were deported.

Those 458 arrests carried 718 felony or misdemeanor charges. Below is a breakdown of the combined charges from all four Northwest Arkansas law enforcement agencies that processed the 458 people. This spreadsheet contains eight tabs with the original data released along with other sheets showing data sorted by each of the four participating law enforcement agencies. The data was analyzed by Tony Hernandez.
