2/7/14 Arkansas Democrat-Gazette/STEPHEN B. THORNTON Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department superintendent Hobort Watson, left, talks with driver James Bingham, in truck, as the two demonstrate a new AHTD belly plow truck Friday in Little Rock. It features a "belly" blade in the center of the truck which will be more effective for breaking ice due to the weight of the load above its location on the truck. With another blade on the front the truck can effective make two passes in one trip. The AHTD has 5 of the trucks already in service in northern Arkansas and one dedicated to the I-430 corridor.
