  • ImageDescription: STAFF PHOTO ANTHONY REYES Phil Davis, left, engineering services director for Northwest Health, gives Jeff and Nancy Hagan, a brick from the Charlesworth Building, longtime home of the Pontiac Coffee House, Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in Springdale. The Hagans sold the building to the hospital and used to run the coffee house from that location. The demolition is part of an expansion of the emergency room of the Northwest Medical Center – Springdale. The purchase of the 3.4 acres of land surrounding NMC-Springdale from the Charlesworth family was finalized on October 5, 2012.  The project will add 10 additional ER beds for a total of 26, increase the hospital by 30,000 square feet and allow for the reorientation of the front of NMC-Springdale to face Thompson including additional parking with green space enhancements.
