Many of today’s wedding traditions began during the Victorian period. While some began to add fancy wedding cakes, elaborate white gowns, many small town weddings were modest and simple affairs held in the family home. A Victorian Wedding explores the changing traditions of Victorian weddings through guided tours of the Hawkins House beginning February 28.
