Kayce Glasse

number one Patsy Cline tribute artist

Kayce Glasse, the original star of Always Patsy Cline, is America’s award-winning, number one Patsy Cline tribute artist. In concert, she presents her live, unique stylings including Cline’s and other artists’ hits, in a two-hour show, Patsy Cline at Christmastime. The original star of Always Patsy Cline, Kayce Glasse’s ability to crossover from country to pop and jazz and back wonderfully blurs the lines between the so-called music genres. Her songlist includes almost any Patsy Cline hit you can name, along with Broadway songs and classic standards by Doris Day, Peggy Lee and other influential singers on songs such as The Best Is Yet To Come, Miss Celie’s Blues, Enjoy Yourself, La Vie En Rose, The French Song, Fever, It’s A Good Day, Ac-cen-tu-ate The Positive, I’ll Be Seeing You, Cow Cow Boogie and Hard Candy Christmas, from that Best Little Show In Texas. Glasse recently finished a two-year cabaret singing stint at Phil & Derek’s in her hometown of Houston, Texas, where she was a member of the Alley Theatre and Stages early on in her career. Her Houston club and church-singing years began with jazz harmony groups, Riff Raff and SwingSet, and she was most recently part of the jazz quartet at Trinity Episcopal Church’s weekly jazz worship service. Glasse’s landmark success in Always Patsy Cline eventually propelled her to New York, but only after a cross-country, multi-faceted musical journey, appearing with Seattle’s Civic Light Opera, Oregon Cabaret Theatre, Rogue Musical Theatre, Rogue Valley Opera, TheatreVirginia and Virginia Musical Theatre. National tours of Peter Pan and A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline prepared her for the big move to New York, where she appeared in the pre-Broadway production of Ring of Fire and a lead role in the Grateful Dead’s Cumberland Blues. Kayce also can be seen, usually behind a big star, in many films and television shows. She has done studio work as a vocalist and voiceover artist from Seattle to New York.
