New orders for Ken Aden

The U.S. Army issued an order Tuesday revoking 3rd Congressional District candidate Ken Aden's status as a "Special Forces Weapons Sergeant." Aden has repeatedly claimed to be a Green Beret, but Special Warfare Center and School at Fort Bragg, N.C. confirmed that he washed out of training and the document he has claimed proves his Green Beret background was issued in error.

Superintendents and principals of schools that have been identified as priority and focus schools under the state’s new school accountability plan get their marching orders from the Arkansas Department of Education. Commissioner Tom Kimbrell has said that the department “will be in their business” as the schools — either the lowest achieving in the state or have the biggest achievement disparity gaps — develop improvement plans, hire outside education improvement consultants, etc.
