The health-care reform bill the House is voting on was approved by the Senate in December, plus there is a separate package of “fixes” negotiated by the two chambers that is designed to make the bill more palatable to House Democrats. The measure would cover more than 32 million uninsured Americans, expand Medicaid eligibility, set up new insurance exchanges and require nearly everyone to carry insurance or pay a fine.
