Northwest Arkansas readers choice poll: A ‘win-win’ for consumers and local businesses
The readers of NWA Media’s newspapers and Web sites have chosen their favorite local businesses in the Best of the Best readers poll, and the results are revealed in this publication. More than 2,000 readers cast their votes in July, using online and paper mail-in ballots published online at nwaonline.com and in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette Northwest Arkansas Edition.
From heating and air companies to museums and department stores, this special publication is filled with stories and photos about the winning businesses. There is also a complete list of winners and finalists.
“Because it brings together readers’ opinions with a celebration of local businesses, the Best of the Best of Northwest Arkansas is one of our favorite publications,” said Crystal Thurman, advertising and marketing director for NWA Media.
She said that the response from the public and business has more than doubled this year.
“I think that Northwest Arkansas consumers want to recognize those businesses that go above and beyond in service and quality. In turn, I see and hear from local business owners who genuinely feel honored and want to show their appreciation for the vote of confidence from their customers.”
Thurman said that the Best of the Best publication provides readers with a guide to finding some of the best businesses in Northwest Arkansas so they can make more informed decisions about future buying choices. It also gives area businesses public accolades for their hard work.
“Ultimately, it’s a win-win for everyone,” she said.
Winners were recognized Thursday, Sept. 210 at the 2011 Best of the Best Red Carpet Gala at the John Q. Hammons Center in Rogers.
